The national symposium hosted by Duquesne University School of Law, “Plea Bargaining After Lafler & Frye,” is being held today in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The symposium includes a series of panel discussions composed of notable judges, attorneys, and professors. The first panel discussion was moderated by White Collared’s own James W. Kraus and included remarks by Professors Nancy J. King, Vanderbilt Law School, and Susan R. Klein, The University of Texas School of Law. The panel discussion focused on inequities in the plea bargain process and the Professors’ recommendations for increasing a defendant’s access to justice.
